  6. DMM LW 5/6 Stuff version 1.2 is a FREEWARE *supplement* to the DMM LW 7.x Stuff
  7. package tailored to users of older System 6 LaserWriter drivers.  This package
  8. of goodies and documentation that explains how to get the most out of these
  9. older LaserWriter drivers and allows you to incorporate many of the features
  10. that DMM LW 7.x Stuff makes available to System 7 LaserWriter driver users:

  12.     - Non-conflicting drivers that work in harmony with other versions of the
  13.       LaserWriter driver--eliminating the dreaded "Printer Reset" wars of
  14.       incompatible driver versions.
  15.  
  16.     - Generation of safe, portable, and embeddable PostScript code that is
  17.       suitable for printing without modification even on non-Apple printers.
  18.       Throw away that outdated macps!
  19.  
  20.     - The ability to build Serial LaserWriter drivers which talk asynchronously
  21.       through the Modem or Printer Serial Port rather than using AppleTalk.

  23.     - N-up thumbnail printing support built right into the driver.

  25.     - A PostScript file checkbox right in the Print dialog.

  27. DMM LW 5/6 Stuff is distributed as a Compact Pro self-extracting archive.
  28. Uncompressed, it requires 214 KB of disk space.  Don't forget to pick up the
  29. DMM LW 7.x Stuff package as well!
